Just a bit farther than the castle is the Hotel Invergarry Castle, very much in operation, and truly elegant. They specialize in "cream tea", which is a tea service with scones and clotted cream, as well as jam, served in the old library (this was once a residence for members of Clan MacDonnell). A good start to a fabulous hike along the banks of the River Garry. Note: the Ros Crana is visible on the river's edge through the window.
