SCOTLAND Part 2 - marilynandbob
First night on board, we get an orientation from our skipper, Dave, also known as Swampy. Note the dreadlocks, and the color of the barge... very Rasta! There's a long laminated map of the Great Glen and the Canal (the Great Glen is the area through which the canal extends). Swampy shows us each night where we've been, and where we're going the next day. Bob is over his shoulder, and the rest are our fellow passengers: a couple from south England, a couple from northern England, a couple from New Zealand, and a couple plus a cousin from Australia- they just laughed a lot and were so jolly! Everyone was fun... the older man from southern England was constantly saying, "wonderful! Brilliant! Well Done!" and Bob and I are still saying this!
