SCOTLAND PART 1 - marilynandbob
In an amazing coincidence, we discovered that there was to be a Military Tattoo of gigantic proportions at nearby Fort George, so of course, we attended. It was produced by Major Bruce Hitchings, who is in charge of pipe instruction at the United States School of Piping in Flagstaff, Arizona, where I used to go every summer. This tattoo had everything- many bands from various military regiments, re-enactments of the battle of Culloden (which took place near Inverness) as well as World War I training in the Scottish regiments. There were also fiddlers, singers, dancers and a contemporary band, as well as fireworks at the end.
