Deborah comes back to town for Snowdown every year. Here's Deborah, Marilyn and Betty mid-celebration.
The Friday night Snowdown parade, with the traditional Jazzercise entry. Although there are a few warm coats in this photo, we ditched them when we started marching, and ended up being really, really hot by the end!
Parade getting started. Too bad the brilliant maracas, which glowed and pulsed with changing colors, don't show up in this photo.
After the parade, joining Peter and Colleen (our good New Mexico friends) at the Strater Hotel. Bob couldn't make it, or be in the parade, because of the injury from the ice cornice falling off the roof onto his back-
Here's Jan, Dave, Laura and Wally, joining the festivities at the Strater. Wally is uncharacteristically not in costume, because he just arrived from a political trip back into town as the parade was starting.
Peter getting fun snapshots with Deborah in the background.
On the Saturday of Snowdown, we join our friends (again) at the Abbey Theatre for the "simulcast" of the Follies show. Bob was feeling improved, enough to dress up and get out on the town.
Whooping it up at the Abbey Theatre.
Ah yes, we may all live to regret these photos, but here we are, Tom (way in the background), and Sue, Betty, Marilyn and Laura right up front.
Yikes!!! Is this too much information??? Rear view of Laura and Wally en costume!
Intermission at the Simulcast~~ the Hillstompers Band from Los Alamos, NM, visits Durango for Snowdown every year, and provide such great entertainment!!!
Hillstompers again, with a lively bunch of groupies and dancers down front.
So, farewell to another great Snowdown, and a chance to get ready for next year's theme... Monsters!
