We all became New Orleans Saints fans for Superbowl! Getting together at Laura and Wally's new digs, with their new huge HD TV~
A few revelers, eating and celebrating the Saints' performance, while outside, snow was pouring down.
Final score, New Orleans 31, Indianapolis 17! Wow- what a day!
March, 2010~ our traditional meeting, eating and playing rendez-vous with Kenny and Melody in Pagosa Springs , who come from Gunnison to join us at the hot springs. On this day, as we walked around the river walk (snow was highly melted, because it was so late in the year for a good snowpack) we saw these horses wading in the river. Melody is a true horsewoman, and she and Kenny admired these critters.
Kenny checking out the horses next to the hot springs.
I love these photos of Bob and one of our dogs, relaxing and snoozing. This is in the Springs Inn, Pagosa Springs, March, 2010. We had only had Duffy a few weeks.
Fun family time in Colorado Springs in April, 2010. In the Cheyenne Park Zoo, the birds found Brother Bill irresistable!
Bob looks great with a bird on his head. Can we train one to accompany him always?
This bird likes our family! Here's Jackson with an avian adornment.
Hiking in April in one of the many parks in Colorado Springs. Here's Bob, Melissa and John, with Duffy at their feet.
Photo is somewhat washed out, but Marilyn and Bob were enjoying the hike.
U.S. School of Piping, Flagstaff, AZ, July, 2010. This year, most of the band attended! There was also drumming. Here are Jerry Crawford (Pipe Major) and his wife, Morgan (tenor drum), Monte, Chuck, Jeannine, Laurie, and Marilyn on the deck.
A general view of the crowd at Pub night, at Charley's bar. Stage at one end, different pipers and groups take turns performing. Always a blast.
A suitable use for a pool table! This is during Pub night, in between sets.
A really nice visit in Colorado Springs in August 2010 at Melissa's "new" house. Celine had just gotten back from her year in Chile! Jackson, now a CU graduate, is working in Boulder. We were also celebrating a late birthday for Melissa.
Marilyn made a killer birthday cake for Melissa's one-month late birthday celebration.
Marilyn made the birthday cake, using European candles with different colored flames!
Celine prepared a Chilean meal for our birthday party enjoyment.
A high point of the birthday party was the enormous puffball mushroom brought over by John. He found it out on a hike. It tasted really good marinated and grilled.
Marilyn spinning fire in Melissa's back yard- Celine did a great job taking some photos!
A bit more fire play.
Jackson at Melissa's house, nicely framed among the gladiolas.
Bob's first kilt! We marched in a parade in Telluride for one of their many festivals~ Blues and Brews. Several members of the bagpipe band played to open the Saturday beer tasting. We stayed for most of the performers; it was a terrific concert!
This view of the band shows Jim Lynch, our former Pipe Major. That's Greg Hanshaw to the right, hidden by his pipes. He arranges our gig in Telluride every year.
Another view of the Telluride Blues and Brews stage. That's Bob with the Stars and Stripes.
On stage at Blues and Brews. There were 5 pipers, 2 drummers and numerous flag bearers.
