Welcome to our road trip "back East"! The trip we've been hoping and planning for since Marilyn retired. Pulling the trailer, Bob, Marilyn and Rafiki drove 6013 miles across the country, visiting family and good old friends. Come with us and enjoy the trip!

marilynandbob > First stop was in Sand Springs, OK, where Bob's sister,Barbara and her daughter, Amanda live. Here they are visiting the trailer, and checking out our travel photos with Marilyn. We enjoyed seeing Barbara and Kevin's house, and meeting their houseful of dogs and cats. We also had fun with Amanda and her husband, David, and their cute pup. What a treat to reunite with family!

marilynandbob > Barbara and Kevin took us all out to eat in Sand Springs. This was a wonderful beginning to our epic journey!
marilynandbob > Next stop, Lake of the Ozarks, MO, to visit with Bob's cousin, Gayle and Art. We took several great hikes and saw the sights. As you see, beautiful weather almost throughout the whole trip.
marilynandbob > That's us, framed in the remnant of a noble mansion in a beautiful state park in Missouri. The rest was destroyed by fire, but this intriguing ruin makes us realize how extensive this remote dwelling was, and in such a beautiful setting, overlooking the river.
marilynandbob > Here's Bob and his cousin, Gayle, at Gayle and Art's house. Gayle's mother, Inez, was Bob's father's sister. Gayle and Art were wonderful hosts while we were at Lake of the Ozarks.
marilynandbob > Gayle and Art took us on a great boat trip around the Lake of the Ozarks, for "locals" only! There was an entertainer playing oldies, and the gorgeous sunset to view. Such a great time!
