A short RV trip not too far from home, to take advantage of the early fall weather before Bob left to go to Africa.
About a 90 minute drive from Durango is the tiny town of Dolores, and a few miles farther is a great National Forest campground, right on the West Dolores River. We stayed a few nights and met up with Kathleen and Milt May, who often camp here. It's very laid-back and quiet, and we were able to take some nice walks along the river, among other things.
