The Durango Choral Society performed a huge concert of American music (Copeland, Bernstein) in Telluride, Colorado, in November, 2007. We were joined by the Telluride Choral Society and had the honor of singing with the San Juan Symphony, conducted by Maestro Arthur Post- the symphony is very good! This was a huge event and both the Telluride performance and the Durango performance were sold out in large concert halls, and very well received!
A rehearsal in Telluride- here's the leader of the Durango group, Linda Mack, and the director of the Telluride Choral Society, David Lingle. We had rehearsed the music separately for months, and this was our first time together. There were a few rough spots, but we blended and bonded well, and the final product was fantastic.
