Durango's "Primiere Winter Celebration" which lasts for a week, with many events and not too few parties!

marilynandbob > Another year, another Snowdown, another opportunity for Marilyn to wear costumes and dress Bob up! This year's theme was "Ye Olde Snowdown" with a Mideavil flair.
marilynandbob > One of the Snowdown events was "Fashion Do's and Dont's" in which members of the community model thematic outfits and behaviors. Before the show, they gave out door prizes, and had a "King-off", in which the 6 men who were dressed as kings strutted their stuff for audience applause. Here's Bob THE WINNER OF THE KING CONTEST! Marilyn was thrilled and proud (after all, she created the costume)- Bob makes a perfect king! And he won a goodie basket for Marilyn!

marilynandbob > Here's the Jazzercise group, ready to march in the Snowdown Parade, all dressed as Jesters. This parade is always on Friday night and is (duh) always COLD! Once we get started dancing down the street, we warm up really quickly.
marilynandbob > After the Snowdown Parade we always join our friends from Gallup, New Mexico who bring their hot-air balloon to Durango for the Snowdown baloon launch. They host a party at the historic Strater Hotel, and we watch the rest of the parade out the window. A good time is absolutely had by all.
marilynandbob > Our friend, Deborah, formerly of Durango and now living in Fort Collins. She comes to Durango for the Snowdown event, and became a Mideavil Fairy for the occasion.
