Every summer for about 7 years now, I've attended the United States School of Piping in Flagstaff, AZ, along with other members of the band. This year, there were only 3 of us: Laurie, Monte and me. It's an intense week of classes playing the practice chanter, afternoon massed band practice with the pipes, and evening concerts by the instructors - with Pub Night in the middle of the week. Fun, hard work, a way to really improve skill level, and some wonderful friends.
